Behaviour Aide/tutor

Behaviourlytics provides learning services utilising the science of behaviour via a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Programs for skills development and reduction of behaviour concerns are developed for each individual client to enhance the autonomy and quality of life for each individual, and others who support them.
Police clearance with vulnerable persons check,
Current first aid/CPR,
Experience working with challenging behaviour and populations requiring specialised services,
Strong written and verbal communication skills,
Excellent time management, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel to locations in NW, & NE.
**Education**
High School Diploma and 18 years of age (essential).
Bachelors Degree or currently enrolled in a University program related to Behaviour Science, Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Health Sciences, Education, or Early Childhood Development (preferred).
Knowledge of applied behaviour analysis would be an asset but not essential.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated to teach and learn more about Applied Behavior Analysis.
The position requires consistently communicating with BCBA, other professionals, and home team, the tutor will provide behaviour intervention in-home directly with the client and their family.
It is the responsibility of the tutor to work with caregivers, and/or staff, to put in place strategies outlined in the plan developed by BCBA to achieve desired outcomes. From preparation of teaching materials, implementing the programming, and monitoring the client’s progress.
It is the responsibility of the Associate to work with caregivers, and/or staff, to ensure training for strategies outlined in the plan developed by BCBA. From preparation of program materials, charting data, and monitoring the client’s progress.
**Hours** are negotiable with the family but requires a consistent schedule and time management to be able to meet as a team.
Reliability is a must.
Supervision for Behavior Analysis Certification Board as Registered Behaviour Technician, Associate or Full Certification is available.
Further hours may become available in the future with other clients in NE Calgary.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $22.25-$29.87 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 12 per week
