Store Manager

Home Hardware Building Centre in the Renfrew, Ontario is looking for an experienced Store Manager for their busy retail location. This position will be responsible for the daily operations of the store according to set goals and business objectives. Daily operations will include staff management and supervision, customer service, achieving sales targets, exciting product presentation, inventory management, and carrying out seasonal changeover and promotional activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage multiple teams: retail sales, warehouse, receiving, office
- Clearly outlines and communicates retail objectives and expectations to all team members daily
- Motivates and influences sales performance with positive feedback and recognition
- Leads by example and initiates contact with every customer. Guides customers to departments and provides products and services
- Helps ensure proper execution of in store deals and sales
- Assists in dealing with inventory overstock
- Executing and managing the store’s in store sales program
- Ordering retail
- Regular inventory maintenance;
- Resolves customer complaints and objections including investigating, interpreting policy, and taking the appropriate action to ensure customer satisfaction
- Planning promotions, executing national events, and weekly flyer set up;
- Resolving staff and customer issues
- Delegates tasks, initiatives, and follows up to ensure completion
- Oversee and ensure completion (on time) of merchandising/seasonal setup
- Oversee and ensure daily maintenance of the retail floor
- Proper execution of promotional areas of the store
- Promotes a positive culture of sales and service through effective communication
- Communicates store priorities to department heads and floor staff, and plans for implementation and action; follows up as necessary
- Promo - seasonally relevant on a weekly basis;
- Loss prevention: training, awareness, and regular discussions with staff;
- Updating price changes and label accuracy;
- HR planning, staffing levels, employee morale;
- Scheduling: creating schedule, daily approval of hours, and working with hour budgets;
- Ensuring store cleanliness standards are met.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail management: 2 years (preferred)
