**Purpose**

Responsible for shipments from and to suppliers and customers. Making certain of adequate and timely loading and unloading. Responsible for inventory control and supports the Shipping and Materials Manager in daily tasks as assigned.

**Reports to**

Shipping and Inventory Controller

**Organization Level Accountability**

The shipper/receiver will work to achieve 100% on time off loading, 100% on time delivery and also strive to accomplish a receiving and shipping error free. Maintain accurate inventory control and insure raw material is available for production.

**Duties**
- Supports the Shipping and Inventory Controller in monitoring lift trucks to insure that they are properly maintained in order to insure safety and clean running conditions.
- Check all paperwork for accuracy, and check for purchase order/bill of lading before receiving/shipping any goods.
- To insure that products are undamaged and safe to load or unload before loading or unloading a truck.
- Make sure that any discrepancies are documented and signed for on all copies of the paperwork by the driver.
- Labeling, bagging and tagging small and large part items and placing them into our inventory while maintaining proper locations.
- Read small labels and have good dexterity for handling large and small systems and parts.
- Ability to lift at least 60 pounds is required, as you will also process larger items.
- Accurately and completely fill out a receiving report for all receipts.
- Handle, move, and store materials in such a way as to prevent damage or deterioration of product.
- Maintain storage to facilitate first in first out and ship all products in first in first out order.
- Interface with buyer to insure that all receipts are correct.
- Follow the policies and procedures of the Inventory Management department
- Manage the inventory of all goods by maintaining inventory records, and advise the buyer when raw goods need to be re-ordered.
- Abide by company Health and Safety regulations.
- Perform other related duties as instructed by the Shipping and Inventory Controller

**Recipe for success**:

- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- **1-3 years of relevant experience**
- Experience with WMS and RF Scanning
- **Forklift Operator Certification**
- Effective stress management skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- **Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy**
- Working knowledge of health & safety requirements
- Deadline oriented with an ability to work with a sense of urgency

**A few extra ingredients**:

- Strong communication and employee engagement skills is a must
- Planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Must have strong computer (MS Office) and project management skills
- Experience in the automotive industry an asset.
- Knowledge of ISO system and requirements as they relate to the receiving and shipping function.
