Shipping/Receiving Forklift Operator - Afternoons

Shift will be Monday to Friday 6:00am-3:30am

Busy environment, Southern Etobicoke, Food Manufacturing Company

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:
Responsible for daily shipping and receiving activities, associated with receiving in-bound loads material and shipping out-bound loads of finished product to the customer

Loading and unloading of trucks, verify accuracy of the shipment

Scan in all incoming loads

Maintain shipping logs and file all paperwork

Sort shipments and distribute products accordingly

Receive shipments from supply companies and submit necessary paperwork

Assist with physical inventory counts

Meet all shipping requirements as specified by customer order, to ensure 100% on time delivery

Provide accurate and timely completion of all pertinent departmental receiving and reporting form

Ensure the receiving dock is maintained in both a safe and clear manner

Communicate problems to management

Must observe all GMP's and SOP's

Ability to operate machinery in a safe and responsible manner

Possess a valid forklift license

Operate Forklift, pallet trucks and battery charging station

Able to lift 50 lbs

Exposure to heat and cold

Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to Health and Safety obligations including wearing proper PPE.

**Inspection**
- Daily inspection of Power Equipment required.
- Perform tasks assigned by Supervisor.

- Battery Charging station

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of High School diploma.
- Food manufacturing experience an asset.
- English Language a requirement (good oral and written communication skills)
- Ability to operate machinery in a safe and responsible manner.
- Must be able to work flexible hours (occasional weekends or vacation coverage)
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
