Bird is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to fill an 18-month term, with an opportunity for extension. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote Bird as a leader in the industry.

Working closely with the corporate Marketing & Communications team, this role will be responsible for managing our social media accounts, creating compelling visual content, and driving audience engagement. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and technical design skills to develop high-quality content that aligns with our brand identity and marketing goals.

This position is based in our Calgary office.

What You Will Be Working On- Develop and execute social media strategies and campaigns across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok).- Create visually appealing graphics, videos, and animations for social media, website, and marketing campaigns.- Plan and schedule posts using social media management tools, specifically SproutSocial- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, providing insights for improvement.- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster community interactions.- Stay up to date with social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.- Provide overall support to Marketing & Communications team by designing promotional materials such as infographics, ads, presentations, and more.- Create compelling visuals that align with our brand identity and messaging.

What We Are Looking For- Post-secondary diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field- 3+ years of relevant experience in a corporate or agency setting- Able to self-manage and be proactive- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and Canva- Strong understanding of social media algorithms, engagement strategies, and content planning- Experience with video editing and motion graphics is considered an asset- Excellent communication and writing skills- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment- Strong analytical skills to track performance and optimize strategies
