Electrical Design Technician

**Epp Siepman Engineering** is actively looking to fill the following full-time position for an Electrical Design Technician. We are a service-oriented Winnipeg firm providing mechanical, electrical, and sustainability engineering consulting for buildings. We offer a varied and challenging workload, and value a relaxed work culture in an open-office environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work within our mechanical and electrical team to deliver great service to our clients.
- Design of electrical systems for buildings including power distribution, lighting, life safety, communication, and security systems;
- Model and design electrical building systems using primarily Revit
- Coordinate with other design disciplines and project partners;
- Produce working drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
- Work under direction of Project Manager, with mínimal supervision
- Provide technical support and assistance to engineers and designers
- Use Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD software to carry out design and produce construction drawings;
**Requirements**:
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work as part of a team is essential;
- Desire to develop skills and expand career;
- Demonstrated experience with office software such as MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.);
**The following qualifications and skills would be considered an asset**:
- Experience or familiarity with Canadian commercial construction methods and design processes
- Possess a Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent
- Registered as a C.E.T or C.Tech with Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba (CTTAM) would be preferred
- Competence with AutoCAD for design and production.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit MEP;
- Experience with LEED® registered projects;
- Field experience in the construction industry.
