Barrie, Canada Baldwin Psychotherapy Full time

Job searching is a lot Here are all the details you need up front (a more in-depth and formal explanation follows): - Job would be **primarily in-person** in central **Barrie, ON** (some virtual, based on your preference and schedule); requirement of only 1 day per week (evening or weekend), but more available if desired - _**UPDATE**:_ We just secured a new office space So availability is wide open Mon through Sun, anytime of day. **You could work as many hours or as few as you'd like to, but one shift must be an evening or weekend.**: - You set your own rate as a contractor (e.g., $170 per hour, $190 per hour, etc), and depending on your level of experience, you may be offered a **60/40 split** or a **70/30 split**(maybe even an 80/20 if you are very skilled). _Example: If you set your rate at $170 per hour, and you have a 60/40 split, your take home is $102 per session._ - Applicants with training, experience, and an interest in working with **couples, families, and/or kids (ideally 2 out of the 3)** **are preferred**. Significant experience and/or demonstration of skill in these areas will increase the potential for a higher income split. - **Perks**:biweekly dyadic clinical supervision with Kaitlin, in addition to once monthly group supervision with the whole team (i.e., 5 supervision hours per month); professional development stipend of $250 per year, plus free participation in any teaching/training workshops hosted by Kaitlin; monthly team hangouts where you and the team will connect for bonding and a light-hearted activity; opportunities for creative and varied forms of therapeutic work, including workshops, community socials, group therapy, etc. - Baldwin Psychotherapy operates with—and continues to develop practice matters—in an active political stance of **anti-carcerality, anti-colonialism, anti-capitalism, and many other forms of anti-oppressive practice**. Our company initiatives will have explicit political ties in our fundraising (e.g., for local unhoused populations, Palestinian relief funds), in our policies with clients (e.g., commitment to providing alterative crisis supports that do not involve institutionalization), and in our clinical work. Baldwin Psychotherapy is a group therapy practice in Barrie, Ontario that takes a non-pathologizing, process-based, decolonial approach to therapy. Our mission is to create a space of non-violence for all people, accomplished through showing up as humans first, therapists second. The process-based approach to therapy allows us to work on the root cause with people on all types of issues—with our number one priority being to treat clients as whole, unique individuals, rather than treating a particular "symptom". Baldwin Psychotherapy has been in practice since 2020, and is operated by Kaitlin Baldwin, RP, and has recently grown to a team of 5 (including students). Baldwin Psychotherapy is committed to ongoing efforts and development around community-oriented, liberatory, decolonial care. **Job Type**: 1-Year Contract with option to renew, Part-Time hours (minimum of 4, maximum of 25 in-person hours at this time—_changing locations before 2026 will allow many more hours if desired_) **Salary**:$90.00 to $140.00+ per hour (this is based on the rate you choose to charge, typically at a 60/40 split) **The Role**: Baldwin Psychotherapy is looking for an experienced therapist who can provide support to individuals, couples, children, and/or families in person in Barrie—with potential for some virtual/remote work. **The Benefits**: - Regular, CRPO-approved clinical supervision with Kaitlin Baldwin, RP at no cost (2 dyadic hours and 1 group hour per month) - Team meetings with other therapists and student interns to have a safe place to debrief and receive support for the emotional burden of our roles (monthly) - Access to a beautiful office space that makes clients feel extremely safe and calm (I think this is a benefit) - Company lunches/dinners that foster a connected team environment (monthly) - Free on-site parking - Potential for certified training programs and courses to be covered by the company, based on need - Access to a significant digital and printed library of clinical resources **Qualifications and Education**: - Required Registration with the CRPO or OCSWSSW - A minimum of a Master’s degree in psychotherapy, marriage and family therapy, social work or equivalent. - ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience in a process-based, experiential form of therapy (experience and training may be formal or informal/self-directed learning) - Ability and experience in working with a minimum of **two** of the following client populations: individual teens/children (15 or under), couples, families **Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to**: - Provide direct therapy to individuals, couples, and/or families. - Provide psychotherapy support to 4+ clients a week at a gradual build. - Conduct initial client consultation
