From new ideas to new technologies, we are empowered to do this, because our focus is on people Reporting to the Manager, Building Maintenance. **Responsibilities**: - Responsible for all general maintenance repairs - Maintains work order system (e.g., completes daily work orders) - Performs preventative maintenance and daily checks (e.g., heating, ventilation) - Responds to client or staff requests - Works on major and small projects with other contractors or on own - Performs other related duties as required **Qualifications**: - High school diploma or equivalent required; Diploma or post high school education in any of the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Heating/ Ventilation, Mechanical, Carpentry, Construction, or Electronics Technology - WHMIS Fire and Safety training - Three to Five years of relevant work experience - Experience as a lead hand or supervisor an asset - Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset - Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or general construction diploma considered an asset - Occupational Health and Safety training considered an asset - Fall arrest training considered an asset - Confined space training considered an asset - Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis according to Northwood's corporate standard **Tasks**:As per the General Maintenance job description **Hours**: 80 hours bi-weekly **_(8-hour shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)_** **Effective**: Immediately If this exciting opportunity interests you please click "Apply" now. **_ Northwood is proud to be an inclusive employer who encourages diverse applicants.
