**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Supervising Production Operations**

✔ Assign production staff to optimize workflow and efficiency
✔ Ensure machinery is operating smoothly and safely
✔ Oversee and minimize machine changeovers to maximize uptime

**2. Ensuring Quality Control**

✔ Conduct **grade checks** to maximize output and reduce defects
✔ Implement corrective actions for quality improvement
✔ Perform and document **quality checks** on finished and in-progress products

**3. Team Performance & Safety Compliance**

✔ **Hire, train, and evaluate** production team members
✔ Foster a **positive, motivated, and productive** work environment
✔ Address **performance issues and workplace conflicts** proactively
✔ Enforce **workplace safety policies (PPE, procedures, hazard response)**
✔ **Investigate and respond** to accidents or safety concerns

**4. Optimizing Efficiency**

✔ Ensure production targets and deadlines are consistently met
✔ Keep work areas **clean, organized, and efficient** to reduce downtime
✔ Identify and **eliminate bottlenecks** in production processes
✔ Manage **inventory of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods**

**5. Reporting and Documentation**

✔ Maintain **records of production, downtime, and equipment performance**
✔ Provide **regular reports to senior management** on operations and challenges
✔ Attend and contribute to **management and staff meetings**

**6. Cross-Department Collaboration**

✔ Maintain **open communication** with **management, sales, shipping, and maintenance**
✔ Coordinate with **shipping & receiving** to ensure production meets demand
✔ Support **continuous improvement initiatives** for operational efficiency

**Qualifications & Requirements**

**Required**:
✔ **3+ years of experience** in a **Foreman/Supervisor** role in wood manufacturing
✔ **Grading Ticket** (Certification required)
✔ **Fluent in English** (spoken and written)
✔ **Strong computer literacy** (Microsoft Office, production tracking software)
✔ **Proven leadership experience** managing production teams

**Preferred**:
✔ **Forklift Ticket** (Certification preferred)
✔ Experience with **inventory management and process optimization**
✔ Knowledge of **BC workplace safety regulations**

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
