Prince of Wales is seeking a Part-Time and Full-Time Cook 1

**Position Summary**: An experienced cook with the desire to exceed and the passion to learn in the Food Industry.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Primary Responsibilities**:

- **Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity**:

- Reports to manager that is attainable at the time - Chef de Cuisine, Junior Sous Chef, Executive Chef
- Preparations of menu items according to specifications and Guest requests
- Assist other team members as needed
- Maintain a clean work area
- Assists with quality control
- Performs stock rotation
- Adhere to food standards set out by Lais Hotel Properties’ kitchen management
- Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and services
- Suggesting additional products and services meeting our Guests’ specific preferences
- All other duties as assigned

**Technical/Managerial/Administrative Requirements**:

- Minimum three (3) years experience
- Good communication and listening skills
- Self-motivated

**Professional Requirements**:

- Red Seal Certification
- Basic knowledge of WHMIS and safe food handling
- Professional work ethic
- Excellent knife skills
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Current Safe Food Handler’s Certificate
- Excellent food knowledge
- Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.35 per hour
