**Are you an outgoing, hard-working team player who enjoys working in a public setting? Lac Ste. Anne County’s busy Public Works department is hiring seasonal labourers for maintenance activities starting on May 6 till August 30. The Public Works Department operates throughout Lac Ste. Anne County and has a variety of positions available. The Administration Office for the County is located northwest of Edmonton, at 56521 Range Road 65, about 45 minutes from Spruce Grove.**
**Responsibilities**
Duties may include (but are not limited to):
- Grass cutting
- Flag person
- Operation of small equipment
- Pot hole patching and pavement crack filling
- Painting
- Rock painting
- Garbage collection
- Sign installation
- Fencing
- Maintain and clean County owned washrooms
- Any tasks delegated by the Public Works Manager or designate
The successful applicants will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of any equipment or vehicles assigned to them, and must ensure safe work practices are observed at all times. The County will provide training for all levels of skill.
**Qualifications**
Applicants for these positions must be adaptable and versatile, must possess good communication skills, and must be able to follow instructions and work independently and efficiently. A sound knowledge and commitment to all aspects of a safe work environment, and a willingness to take and follow direction are mandatory.
CSA-approved steel toed boots are required for these positions
**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 16 weeks
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
