Position Summary:
The Food Procurement Coordinator provides a broad range of supports for student nutrition programs and community partners to maximize Student Nutrition Program funding for the purchase of safe and nutritious food. The Food Procurement Coordinator facilitates the efficient sourcing, purchasing, storage and distribution of food within the Central East Student Nutrition Program through the development of regional and local partnerships with industry, producers, municipalities and non-government organizations.

This position is based in Peterborough but requires extensive travel throughout Central Eastern

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree
- Vehicle and valid driver's license or access to personal transportation.
- Minimum of two years of related experience working in food purchasing, warehousing, and distribution within Ontario.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Student Nutrition Program.
- Knowledge of public food procurement processes.
- Knowledge of procedures used in the ordering, receiving, storing and inventory of food and supplies.
- Knowledge of local and regional retail and foodservice distribution channels.
- Knowledge of food safety and traceability protocol and practices, such as Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to food establishments including sanitation and maintenance regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of local and Provincial teams.
- Demonstrated digital proficiency, Microsoft Office Suite, social media.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.82-$27.82 per hour

Expected hours: 21 per week
