Tapestry at Village Gate West is a seniors’ community for individuals interested in living in a wellness-inspired environment. At Tapestry, residents live healthy, engaged, purposeful and socially connected lives and experience personalized, resident-centric service. Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall general maintenance and servicing of our building, including the interior and exterior, as well as landscaping. Responsibilities include helping to maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors and employees in our 24-7/365 operation.

Experience & Qualifications:

- Diploma/degree from a vocational school or facility management certification is preferred
- Minimum of five to seven years of hands-on supervisory experience
- Minimum of five years work in related maintenance area
- Understanding of Fire/Life Safety, HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and property management systems related to building functionality
- Skilled in project management, including the preparation, planning, delegation, execution and follow-up of project implementations
- Solid understanding of (and experience) with elevator maintenance systems
- Able to assess the requirement for, and then carry-out inspections and repairs
- Experience establishing, implementing and working through Preventative Maintenance programs, and maintaining maintenance logs and daily activity reports
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
- CPR and First Aid designation; WHMIS Certification
- Valid Driver's License (Class 4 preferred)
