Pinsa Romana Canada is revolutionizing the pizza industry and has a state of the art production facility to create Pinsa, the newest generation of pizza.

Pinsa, sounds like pizza, looks like pizza, but it’s not pizza. What makes Pinsa unique is the dough because it is made from a combination of soy, rice, and wheat flour which becomes a light, soft and extremely digestible dough that is a significantly healthier alternative to traditional Pizza.

Pinsa Romana Canada has several opportunities, both full and part time, for Bakers and Pastry Chefs, who will be responsible for the preparation and assembly of a variety of sizes of pinsa dough and baked goods for all of our locations throughout the city.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Ensure correct preparation of pizza/pinsa dough and other baked goods following approved recipes, using specified production methods and use of proper equipment.
- Monitor inventory and place orders for supplies when required.
- Handle food items appropriately ensuring all company safety regulations are adhered to during preparation and service.
- Plating or packaging of all baked goods as per company standards.
- Dispose of expired or spoiled ingredients at the end of each shift.
- Maintain sanitation and condition of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.
- Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly daily.**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Professional baking certificate from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and baking experience.
- Experience using, cleaning, and maintaining a variety of commercial kitchen equipment
- Safe Food Handling Certification required (can complete once hired)
- The ability to follow standardized recipes.
- A dependable person who can work flexible hours (day, evening, weekend shifts available)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adhere to policies and procedures.
- A team player who requires mínimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

**Physical Requirement and Working Conditions**
- Able to comfortably and safely lift 50 lbs
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and/or precise hand/finger movements in a large scale production kitchen
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to adapt to temperature changes (working on production floors with ovens, coolers, and freezers).
- Must have double COVID vaccination.
- Must currently reside in and be eligible to work in Canada
