We are currently seeking a **Full-Time Building Maintenance Worker** to assist our team at The Journey Club in the prestigious, active, and vibrant community of Westman Village in Calgary, AB.

As a Building Maintenance Worker, you thrive on attention to detail and take pride in every task or project completed with the utmost accuracy. You’ll work in a home like environment, with a high level of respect towards the individuality and dignity of each resident, family member and co-worker you interact with. You come to the table prepared to roll up your sleeves, complete a variety of tasks, and are equipped with a flexible schedule in order to get the job done.

**A day in the life of a Building Maintenance Worker at The Journey Club**:

- Perform minor emergency maintenance/repair duties i.e., electrical, mechanical, plumbing etc.; inspect quality of service delivery and ensure timely responses to resident requests.
- Enforce and adhere to all appropriate workplace regulations, compliances, legislation and Company policies and procedures.
- Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of professionalism by following the Company dress code and/or wearing the Company uniform.
- Participate in all Health and Safety, Fire Safety and Emergency Management programs.
- Assist with receiving, ordering, and storing supplies for the property.
- Maintains maintenance records.
- Attends staff meetings and mandatory training as required.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Completion of High School, and some post-secondary education in trades/building systems such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc. would be an asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in building maintenance/HVAC systems, basic plumbing, electrical, minor painting, and drywall repairs.
- Pool Operator license or pool maintenance knowledge considered a strong asset.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledgeable of the Environmental, Health and Safety regulations; Fire Safety Training for Vulnerable Citizens an asset.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Maintains valid Driver's License, with the ability to drive a truck and small axle trailer within a confined parking lot space.
- Maintain a professional, but functional, appearance in dress and grooming.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.
