We are seeking a** **highly motivated **Research Associate **as part of a team working in a world class state-of-the art laboratory who will be involved protein expression, purification, and analysis to support Gandeeva's drug discovery efforts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish and implement gene-to-protein workflows to reliably express target proteins for structural biology and for use in drug discovery processes.
- Analyze purified proteins using biophysical and biochemical techniques.
- Participate in structure determination and interpretation using cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography and NMR approaches.
- Perform other related duties as required and as assigned.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- MSc in a relevant discipline with several years of related industry experience in the life sciences or biotechnology sector or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Expertise in recombinant protein expression in mammalian, insect, and/or microbial cell lines.
- Expertise in purifying a range of different protein types using multiple chromatographic methods.
- Familiarity in recombinant DNA techniques.
- Familiarity with biophysical methods for protein interaction or binding.
- Familiarity with protein enzymatic activity or function where appropriate.
- Demonstrated ability to work to a high level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with scientific and non-scientific personnel.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Must be an independent self starter who is also an excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be adaptable and flexible to work collaboratively and effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
