Janitor/cleaner

**Position Summary**

Maintain cleanliness and order in the office spaces by performing tasks like dusting, sweeping, and sanitizing surfaces

**Required Skills/Experience**:

- Has high cleaning standards.
- Organized, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Works well independently.
- Comfortable working with various cleaning materials such as chemical products, disinfectants, and solvent cleaners.
- Proactive in matters relating to health and safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, including desks, countertops, and common areas.
- Washing Dishes
- Sweeping, mopping, and steaming floors.
- Dusting and deep cleaning walls.
- Emptying and disposing of trash and recyclables.
- Restocking restroom supplies.
- Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms.
- Dusting and wiping down office equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
- Window cleaning as needed.
- Monitoring and reporting any maintenance issues or repairs needed.
- Assisting with the setup and cleanup of meetings and events.
- Following safety procedures and using appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Emptying trash cans both inside and out.
- General work around the warehouse.
- PPE must be worn when necessary.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

- Brantford, ON N3T 0L3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cleaning/Janitorial: 1 year (preferred)
