**WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR DELIVERY DRIVERS WHO ARE ABLE TO ASSIST WITH OUR MORNING PICKUPS MON-FRI WITHIN PORT COLBORNE. WE ARE LOOKING FOR COVERAGE FROM NOVEMBER 30th 2024 - MARCH 31ST 2025 (4 Months)**. Pick ups often take about 1-2 hours per day, depending on vehicle size.

**Volunteer Summary**

Working during our Foodbank and Port Cares operating hours, the responsibilities as a Port Cares volunteer includes completing task assigned by the immediate supervisor onsite, upholding the organization's values, and maintaining a high degree of professionalism with all stakeholders.

**Possible Roles**
- Food Box Delivery Volunteer

**Main Duties (may include)**
- Conduct daily donation pickups from local retailers and grocery stores.
- Perform material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking of food.
- Work collaboratively with staff, team, clients and volunteers.
- Works as part of the Port Cares team.
- Promote a positive image to clients.

**Other Duties**
- Champion vision, mission and values of Port Cares
- Participate in the maintenance of a safe, clean and sanitary working environment.
- Observe all fire and safety rules and be on the alert for safety of clients, staff and the public
- Ensure confidential information is secure at all times and client privacy and confidentiality is maintained according to Port Cares' Privacy policy
- Work as part of the Port Cares team to promote a positive image within the community.
- As appropriate, participate in Port Cares functions/ fundraising activities.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of Port Cares.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and competencies**
- Neat appearance, and well maintained personal hygiene.
- Customer Service skills an asset.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Good verbal & communication skills.
- Self-managed, demonstrated initiative and ability to productively multi-task.
- High degree of patience with others.
- G license is required
- Flexible and adaptable, and able to conduct pick ups in the mornings from Monday - Friday
- Police Check is required*

*An organizational letter will be provided during the onboarding that will effectively remove the cost for a Police Criminal Record Check, and lower the cost for a Police Vulnerable Sector Check to $20.00.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $1.00 per year

Expected hours: 1 - 10 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
