100km Foods connects local farmers with urban markets. Through us, farmers get access to large, urban wholesale markets to chefs and restaurants and individual consumers get access to delicious, farm-fresh food at local restaurants and now at home as well It’s a win-win for all involved.

**Inside Sales Representative, Farm-Fresh Food**
Since 2008 we have been a trusted partner and supplier to the best Chefs and restaurants in Southern Ontario, and in 2020 we added a new retail division to the business, allowing home diners to gain access to that same fresh, seasonal, top-quality food from our network of 120+ farms and artisans in Ontario and Canada. We’re now looking for a sales team member to work on our Sales & Marketing team to serve our wholesale customers.
As our new Inside Sales Representative, you’ll be integral in helping chefs get more local food onto their menus, working with them in an inspiring, collaborative, creative way. You’ll help onboard new restaurant customers, and you'll introduce existing customers to products they might not otherwise think of, find ways of getting them new products they’re on the hunt for, and complete the sales process to make locally grown food competitive vs. imports. You will act as a vital link between our sales team and our operations team, working together to ensure that we are providing chefs with an excellent client experience. This means you are navigating Microsoft Excel, and our ERP, CRM, and communications software effectively and efficiently, and operating with a high degree of professional accountability.
At the end of the day, you’ll know you are a vital part of a creative process that thrilled restaurant diners, and advanced a sustainable, community-supported local food economy.

Sometimes that means getting on the phone, providing timely responses to customers, and working within our larger team to create solutions that continue to ensure customer service excellence. **The Practical Stuff**
Let’s be real, we’re hiring an Inside Sales Representative in the middle of a very unusual time for our business, the hospitality industry, and the planet. Things can change somewhat rapidly over the next 12 months, and you’ll be the type of person who will enjoy riding those waves with us, and you’ll be flexible and excited to create business changes that will drive success in the “new normal”, post pandemic.
This is a year-round, full-time, hybrid remote/in-person position and the growing season is just around the corner, making this a very exciting time to be in local food sales
To start, you will work Monday to Friday, from 2pm to 10pm before transitioning to a Sunday to Thursday schedule.
**Compensation**
We offer a $45,000 base salary plus commissions on sales, two weeks’ paid vacation, a dining allowance, an employee purchasing account, group health and wellness benefits, and above all, the opportunity to do meaningful work on a great team.
**Qualifications**
Above all, you have a desire to make a positive difference in the world. You’re bright and energetic, conscientious, driven to excellence, and love problem solving for customers. In addition, these qualifications will also help you to stand out:
- Experience in sales, particularly front-line customer service,
- Experience in the food industry selling to B2B and/or B2C,
- Proficiency in, and a love for Excel,
- Experience in SAP, or other ERP software,
- Experience in Hubspot, Slack or other CRM/commu
