**Primary Focus**

The Manitoba Trucking Association (MTA) is seeking a dedicated Workforce Development Coordinator to support our Sector Council Program (SCP). In this role, you’ll lead outreach efforts, coordinate training and development opportunities, manage program administration, and help deliver successful events. Your contributions will play a key role in advancing both new and existing initiatives that strengthen Manitoba’s trucking industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Program Administration**
- Manage assigned program areas within the Sector Council Program (SCP), ensuring alignment with goals, timelines, and budget.
- Maintain accurate records and monitor program milestones.
- Track outcomes and contribute to ongoing program improvements

**Outreach & Community Engagement**
- Represent the MTA at key events such as career fairs and school functions, supporting our mission to build a stronger workforce.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with post-secondary institutions, high schools, and community organizations to expand the reach and impact of MTA initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics for MTA’s involvement in community events, ensuring smooth execution and effective use of promotional materials.

**Training & Development Coordination**
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our Sector Council Program, offering fresh perspectives and support in the planning and execution of programs that align with our long-term strategic goals.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee the delivery of training programs, resources and workshops tailored to industry needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify skills gaps and support the development of responsive training solutions.
- Promote career awareness and facilitate access to training for new entrants and underrepresented groups in the industry.
- Research, develop and design activities and programs that meet the Sector Council program goals and themes.

**From time to time, may be asked to perform other duties as assigned as long as management is in the opinion that the incumbent is competent in performing the task.**

**Applicants Qualifications**:

- Education or experience in Human Resources, workforce development, learning and development, or a related field.
- Post-secondary education in HR, Business Administration, or HR certification considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, database management and content management systems (CMS).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build connections across diverse groups.
- A team player who thrives in collaborative environments, bringing enthusiasm to both independent and group work.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
