**The Position**

We are currently recruiting a Business Intelligence Advisor to join our team.
- Work location: Calgary, Alberta (remote work options available)
- Travel Required: Yes
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with some evenings and weekends
- Salary or Hourly: Salary
- Management Role: No

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelors degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, business, or data analytics
- 2 years of experience in a Business Intelligence role
- Experience with PowerBI Service and Desktop
- Experience in DAX
- Experience in data modelling
- Experience in Power Query/M-Code
- Previous experience in the construction industry is an asset

**Technical Skills**
- Technical writing
- Coding languages (R, SQL, Python)
- Data warehouse design
- Knowledge of wireframe tools
- Understanding of data warehouse design, data mining, and database management systems
- Understanding of online analytical processing
- Understanding of Extract, Transform, Load framework
- Understanding of SQL Queries, SQP Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services, and NoSQL

**Soft Skills**
- Public speaking (small and large audiences)
- Communicating across stakeholder groups

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Understand and document business requirements of BI solutions
- Create storyboards
- Document data models
- Produce mockups and review with project stakeholders
- Develop technical specifications
- Design user interfaces
- Develop dashboards and reports that meet BI needs of project stakeholders
- Perform analysis on, troubleshoot, and optimize dashboards
