Seafood Assistant Department Leader

At Fresh St. Market's Seafood Department, we provide a broad variety of fresh, high quality products with a strong emphasis on local and specialty items designed to meet and exceed our customer's expectations. We assist customers with any inquiry, package seafood products, replenish display cases and maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.
Reporting to the Seafood Leader, your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
**Job Overview**
- Expert of the company vision, mission, and core values
- Bring a positive attitude every day
- Work collaboratively with others within the store to achieve working relationships
- Establishes high standards and takes personal responsibility for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of work
- Creating and maintain a great customer experience for both external and internal
- Ensure food safety and quality control of all products at all times
- Supporting the manager with inventory, waste control/management
- Ensure health and safety standards are executed
- Organizing special promotions, displays and events
**Street Credentials**
- Must have valid work authorization in Canada
- Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekend and evenings
- 2+ years of Leadership experience in a Seafood or related field
- Loves working in a clean and well-maintained workplace environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Work well with others in a high-pressure environment
- Physical Requirements are required as a Leader in Fresh St. Market
