The Park Animator will plan and execute afternoon/evening recreation sessions for children 5-17 using resources and equipment provided by the Parks and Recreation Department. The program will take place in Donald Fletcher Park. The person who fills the Park Animator role must be outgoing, organized, independent and enthusiastic about working with children.**Schedule**:

- Monday to Friday
- 15 to 20 hours per week
- June to August

Key Responsibilities
- Organize and implement recreation sessions, including games and activities for a three hour period.
- Supervise the leisure activities that take place in the park during program hours.
- Ensure children who attend the program sign in and sign out.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Enthusiastic and animated by nature
- CPR Certified
- A good sense of organization
- An ability to work with children
- 1 to 2 years’ experience working with children
- 1 to 2 years’ experience designing recreation programs
