**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**CARPENTER**
- Self-perform carpentry tasks while managing specialized trade contractors to maintain the project schedule
- Minimum 5 years of experience in all phases of residential carpentry,
- Red Seal is a definite asset
- Knowledge of residential construction and remodeling, trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, building codes, quality and cost control
- Highly motivated, energetic, personable, and forward thinking
- Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods
- Organize workflow to meet customer deadlines
- Blueprint reading, layout and planning of the day-to-day work to perform project assignments
- Performing standards of workmanship that meet the projects requirements and best practices
- Coordinating with the Project Manager and Coordinator
- Have own transportation, basic hand and power tools along with personal protection equipment
- Computer / Software skills
- Submittal of daily logs, photos, and hours
- Level 1 First Aid
- Able to lift up to 80lbs

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- 3-5 years of experience in construction
- Strong customer service background and familiarity dealing with Clients and homeowners
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications, create material lists
- Must have a valid B.C. Driver License with clean driving record
- Enthusiasm for construction and a problem solver that is a team player
- Has analytical skills, shows initiative and can be flexible/adaptable
- Computer skills

**ASSETS**:

- Red Seal certification and/or related education and training

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**:

- Wage: To be negotiated - paid bi-weekly
- Extended medical and dental benefits after 3-month probation
- 40 hours per week (expected)
- 2 weeks vacation

**How to Apply**:
**Salary**: $20.00-$45.00 per hour
