**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Represent our team with integrity, respect, pride and loyalty
- To work alongside our other Journeyman Carpenters and Apprentices in the execution of various carpentry tasks - Including Formwork, Framing & Finishing Carpentry
- Help train, develop, and mentor our next generation of Carpentry Apprentices
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and renderings to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Adhere to the work plan and drive project efficiency
- Correspond with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator in the successful execution of projects
- Communicate with our sub-contractors as required
- Prefabrication and installation of structural formwork for concrete foundations and retaining walls
- Framing and layouts of wooden structures including floor systems, walls and roofs
- Working “hands on” as required to meet schedule deadlines
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amounts of materials needed for various scopes of work
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
- Exterior finish carpentry including decking, siding and soffiting
- Steel stud and T-Bar installation
- Send in timesheet at the end of every week to the company office
- Label receipts with jobsite address and description as they come-up
- Submit receipts and timesheets to company office weekly
- Driving and maintaining a company vehicle

**SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ideally five to ten years of experience working in multiple faucets of the Carpentry Trade and carry a Red Seal Certification. However, we will hire someone with equal knowledge and experience who is looking to obtain their designation.
- Possesses honesty, integrity, and a positive attitude
- Looking for a long-term Lead Carpenter position
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Ability to take directions
- Knowledge of building science
- Good knowledge of English
- Good understanding of basic math
- Good physical condition and endurance
- General knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Able to overcome challenges through pure hard work
- Problem solver
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver error free work
- Self-motivated and desire to grow continuously (Follow our Rechsteiner Construction Group career path system)
- Clean driving record and driver’s license
- Outgoing personality and able to work alongside a construction team
- Non-smoker
