**Title**: Volunteer Board Member for Positive Living Niagara
**Location**: Niagara Region
**Overview**:
- Accounting/Financial Management
**Responsibilities**:
1. **Strategic Planning**: Collaborate with other board members to develop and implement strategic plans that align with our mission and vision.
2. **Governance**: Participate in board meetings, contribute to discussions, and make informed decisions that support our growth and sustainability.
3. **Financial Oversight**: Provide oversight of the organization's financial health, including reviewing financial reports, budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
5. **Advocacy and Networking**: Represent the organization in the community, build relationships with stakeholders, and advocate for its mission and programs.
6. **Committee Participation**: Serve on committees as needed, leveraging expertise and contributing to the success of specific projects or initiatives.
**Qualifications**:
1. **Passion for our Mission**: Demonstrate a strong commitment to and understanding of our mission, vision and goals.
2. **Leadership Skills**: Possess leadership experience, strategic thinking, and the ability to contribute to the development and execution of organizational strategies.
3. **Networking Skills**: Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to represent the organization positively in various settings.
4. **Team Player**: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse personalities and contribute effectively to board discussions and decision-making.
