The Automation Specialist’s role is to drive growth and to develop business for the Automation and Networking product portfolio in a sales region. In this role the Automation Specialist is expected to work closely in collaboration with the region/district sales team to help them win new customers and to expand sales of the Automation and Networking products with existing customers. The Automation Specialist is a promoter of the A portfolio and expected to execute strategic brand awareness and marketing initiatives to drive growth and increase PxC market share for the automation and networking products.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Promotes Automation and Networking Products to all potential accounts and partners within the Regional Sales to develop new business.
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager, Strategic Account Manager and Account Manager’s to win specification and increase SOW at all listed accounts
- Work directly with Consultants and Engineering Companies in the region to win specification and to identify important opportunities for all PxC products.
- Take part in account and project acquisition teams with the Regional Sales Manager and the Account Manager’s team. Actively collaborate to drive customer conversion and projects wins.
- Collaborate with Distribution and Solution Partners in the region to increase mindshare of the partners and drive new business.
- Together with Product Marketing team, lead and execute marketing events, product seminars and promotions in the region to further promote IMA products.
- Be active in industry related associations that support the growth of the IMA product portfolio.
- Contribute data, feedback, and status on opportunities in the CRM system as appropriate
- Provide feedback to the Business Area Manager, IMA and IMA Product Management on product and solution requirements relevant to customers in the region.

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**
- University degree and/or College Technician/Technologist diploma.
- Well versed in systematic Sales cycle and promoting value-based selling.

**ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Attendance in accordance with company policies and participation in local, regional, and (inter)national meetings
- Must be able to travel overnight as required
- Must have a valid driver’s license
