The Service Technician is responsible for training, installing and repairing large format printers, cutters, laminators, and other signage and printing equipment.

Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, Graphic Systems Group, Western Canada, the duties and responsibilities of the Service Technician include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Install wide format printers, laminators or other finishing equipment, etc
- Train users on how to operate the equipment (Roland, Mimaki, Epson HP), handling, loading, printing and daily maintenance.
- Train the user on the RIP Software with the equipment and how to manage multiple prints, different substrate,
- Train the user on Preventative Maintenance and cleaning.
- Troubleshoot error codes and provide solutions if needed
- Provide equipment repairs when needed/ training provided.
- Register the equipment, activate warranty status and fill out installation forms associated with every device.
- Act as first point of contact for customers when equipment needs repair;
- Work with other team members in sales and service to co-ordinate pick up/ drop off and supplies needed
- Provide helpful solutions that increase efficiency and productivity; and
- The ability to Communicate very clearly with customers is a must.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma is an asset
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Experience in the sign and display, printing equipment, process or graphic arts industry an asset
- Experience using Illustrator, Photoshop, and Colour Management
- Experience in repairing and operating large format printers (Roland, Mimaki, Epson, HP), electronic equipment, computers and network
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual, dependable, and reliable
- Excellent teamwork and ability to work independently, Self-directed and self-motivated; and

Working Conditions:

- Ability to travel throughout BC
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driver abstract.
- Ability to work in a busy, open area office
- Ability to work in a wide variety of environments (customer locations); and
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work
