**Who are we looking for?**

We are looking for you, highly motivated, organized, customer focused, driven and goals oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Academic Administrator in Vancouver.

**Role Overview**

The Academic Administrator is responsible for supporting the College Manager in the following areas: instructor and student support, academic administration, and classroom management. This is a great opportunity for a high-energy person who is professional, organized and friendly; and able to manage time and multiple demands in a fast-paced environment. The Academic Administrator provides exceptional support to the College Manager in order to ensure seamless customer service and communication for ILACIC instructors, students, and administrative support staff.

**Student Support**
- Ensures that all academic processes are customer-focused, expedient and reviewed for continuous improvement
- Under the guidance of the College Director and Academic team, receives and manages individual academic requests, noting trends, and providing feedback and recommendations
- Supports students through academic-related processes.

**Instructor Support**
- Supports the College Director to ensure that the instructors in their assigned classrooms are well prepared, highly engaged, and up to date on all academic and relevant news and updates at ILACIC
- Assists the College Director with the delivery of daily/weekly instructors’ communication, support and engagement
- Assists with new teacher orientation, and in collaboration with the Academic team, establishes goals and professional development plans; provides on-going mentorship to faculty

**Administration**
- Assists with academic paperwork (new term grade sheets, attendance, test results, tests, merge lists, classroom change signs, etc.), processes and workflow
- Provides relevant support to the College team in planning and execution of academic-related projects and as required
- Compiles and maintains new hire paperwork
- Reports escalated teacher requests to the College Manager
- Maintains academic database, update academic record
- Other duties as assigned.

**Classrooms**:

- Ensures that classrooms meet ILAC and ILACIC standards of quality through continuous communication with, and education of instructors and academic support staff of both ILAC and ILACIC.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum College Diploma; a Bachelor’s degree desired in Business, Education or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in the education industry
- High standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information
- Strong knowledge of general business procedures
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively
- Good organization and time management skills in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong proof-reading skills to produce error-free documents
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, probe for understanding, and work in collaboration with others to achieve desired results
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Strong computer proficiency, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
- Teaching experience is an asset
- Experience in international education is an asset.
