Nature of the work:
The principal and customary work of the employee in this employment class consists in assisting the teaching personnel in the preparation, presentation, supervision and evaluation of laboratory work, field work and workshops.
Secondary functions may include work for the Audio-Visual Services of the College.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist the Professional Theatre Program teachers in the mounting of studio productions, including coordination of Front of House as needed;
- Supervise and train assistant stage managers;
- Provide orientation and guidance to contracted Studio Stage Managers;
- Stage manage designated major and studio productions as needed;
- Production manage and coordinate Front of House Staff for non-Theater Department events when possible;
- Coordinate other activity requests for the space with the theatre department schedule and provide technical assistance for college events and activities (sound, lighting, AV, etc.) when possible;
- Maintain order, discipline and professionalism in the green room, dressing rooms and the theatre in general;
- Facilitate the sharing of props and set pieces with other college organizations when feasible;
- Ensure overall security and cleanliness of the Theater according to department standards;
- Schedule and coordinate technical needs for class presentations;
- Perform other related duties

**Requirements**:
- Qualifications:
To have a diploma of college studies (DEC) in an appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
Conditions:
- *Additional hours may be required during peak periods when student productions occur.
- Proven knowledge of technical theatre, stage craft and professional stage management;
- Demonstrated knowledge of theater productions including running technical, audio-visual and multimedia equipment;
- Proven ability to coordinate large groups of students;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, and as a member of a team;
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a fast paced environment;
- Advanced oral and written English communication skills (testing may be required);
- Intermediate oral French communication skills (testing may be required);
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills (testing may be required);
