Case Assistant, Advocacy

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provide general case assistance on and execute cases in all Advocacy expertise areas, including:
- Assisting with cases which reflect diverse and changing levels of complexity.
- Liaising with our membership on cases and docketing complex calls with a high degree of accuracy.
- Drafting memos summarizing case actions plans.
- Executing case action plans under the supervision of Case Coordinators/Managers, which includes but is not limited to research, writing to medical professionals and preparing first draft submissions using templates as required.
- Conduct academic, policy and internet research where required to respond to Advocacy cases and/or projects.
- Assist with miscellaneous Advocacy projects and initiatives as they arise. Tasks include:
- Communicating empathetically with our members
- Writing and summarizing critical issues
- Assisting with advocating for our members in areas where they face discrimination or red tape.
- Build and maintain expertise in the area of amputation and prosthetic care, and Advocacy for amputees through individual cases, projects, research.
- Performs other related duties as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Bilingual French and English is an asset.
- Minimum education - Undergraduate degree in a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in an administrative position.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills, and strong writing skills.
- Must be a highly organized individual.
- Must achieve a high degree of accuracy.
- Must be an initiative-taker.
- A flexible individual who is a Team Player.
- Growth-based mindset.
- Must have a strong work ethic and have a desire to be part of a high-performing Team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
