**WE CURRENTLY HAVE A REQUIREMENT FOR SEVERAL GENERAL HELPERS.**

This position will support activities as directed within the area they are assigned to work. Helpers may be moved from one area to another based on the needs of the business.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Joining a team making some of the best cakes in the world
- Preparation of pans for depositing, greasing, baking, depanning
- Cake assembly, cutting; using palette knife to apply/smooth creams and fillings
- Assembling boxes
- Product movement of trays, racks, ingredients and product; heavy lifting is required
- Clean and maintain the equipment and immediate work area throughout the shift
- Actively participates in food safety training administered by the company, adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), British Retail Consortium (BRC) requirements, and quality and food safety policies and procedures; report any food safety concerns immediately
- All other duties as assigned or required

WHAT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES DO YOU NEED?
- Completion of High School or equivalent preferred
- Excellent command of oral and written English is a must
- Ability to read, comprehend and execute written instructions flawlessly and on time
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work to schedules, procedures and quality/sanitation requirements
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team
- Work any shift as scheduled; work overtime as may be required - weekdays and weekends
- Be respectful of fellow employees, supervisors and management

WHAT IS THE WORK ENVIRONMENT LIKE?

Physical Demands
- Capable to lift or move weights up to 20 kg
- Ability to mix, reach, bend, stand, carry and cut/chop continuously over prolonged periods; repetitive movement
- Extended periods of time focused on manual tasks, requiring care and attention to avoid injury to self or others
- Comprehend and focus on food preparation in the context of preparing recipes
- Demonstrates above average manual dexterity; has a steady hand

Working Conditions
- Bakery environment which involves exposure to warmer than and cooler than optimal room temperatures
- Fast-paced, high volume output environment
- Must be able to wear all safety or protective equipment as required by the Company
