We are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant/Helper to support our kitchen operations and ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our culinary team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, assisting with food preparation, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.

**Responsibilities**:

- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning methods and ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
- Assist with the sorting, storage, and distribution of ingredients to designated areas, helping to maintain inventory control.
- Aid in the preparation of food items, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes under the guidance of the chef or line cooks.
- Support the kitchen staff during busy periods by helping to expedite orders, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service, ensuring that all equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized.
- Follow food safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic environment at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth communication and teamwork throughout shifts.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
