TYPICAL DUTIES OF A NORTH MACEDONIAN TRANSLATOR:
Read through material in English, ascertain understanding of the meaning and context of that material, and translate it into North Macedonian, making sure to preserve the original meaning.
Refer to online translation tools for additional assistance with translation.
Use highly specialised translation software to encourage efficiency and consistency.
Adhere to industry quality standards and ensure that all completed work meets customer requirements.
Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check the quality of the translation.
Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.
Follow up with internal team members to ensure the translation meets their needs.
Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure)
Able to work onsite in our Ottawa or Montreal office.
Other duties as assigned.
Required SkillsExperience
At least five (2) years experience in translating technical documents from English to North Macedonian.
A university degree or college diploma, translation preferred.
Must have experience using computer-assisted translation software, Trados preferred.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Aptitude and interest to learn and develop.
