**What is the role?**

Reporting to the Operations Manager/Area Superintendent, the Shift Superintendent is accountable for the direction of the production resources focused on producing all services and products within the area. Responsibilities include:

- Coordinates and directs the shift supervisor of maintenance contract requirements, ensuring all resources are safely and efficiently being utilized to achieve the goals and objectives of the maintenance contracts;
- Accurate and timely reporting of new work identification, timesheets, production reporting, maintenance work sheets, work orders, force accounts, quality reports, inventory management, flowfinity reports and progress reports;
- Creates productive and positive culture through leadership with optimistic, positive, respectful and ethical behavior working to build and maintain effective teams;
- Manages and coordinates hiring, training, performance management, and corrective actions for the shift resources;
- Uses high quality communication techniques to manage expectations by providing and accepting feedback, asking and listening. Follows processes for internal and external communications;
- Ensures production resource compliance to CMSL/CEL policies and procedures, corporate, quality and environmental, through timely implementation, communication, and training of new and experienced employees;
- Collaborates with support services and fosters strong collaboration wit all internal/external stakeholders;
- Develops strong relationships and manages conflict by building trust, balancing goals, and developing / nurturing personal and professional networks;
- Leads innovation through challenging the present and embracing continual improvement;
- Invests energy and time to become experts in the industry; and
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- 3 years’ experience of team supervision and coordination of resources in a multitude of diverse daily projects;
- Experience in leading a large team;
- Experience in a construction environment and with construction equipment;
- Excellent working knowledge of computers proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs - Project, Teams, Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint;
- A critical thinker and a problem solver;
- Valid Minimum Class 5 driver license and clean drivers abstract;
- Possess exceptional understanding of safety processes/tools and hazard recognition; and
- Education - soft skill developmental courses such as communication, leadership, delegation, conflict management.
