- As such, the Group is seeking an organized and motivated Accounting Analyst who will play an active role in the accounting department.

**FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**- Manage month-end closing of various banners including review and analysis of the financial statements-
- Act as a liaison between the month end close and the FP&A partner of the banner in charge-
- Manage 2-3 accounting analysts including setting clear performance expectations and ensuring they are completing their tasks and meeting all deadlines-
- Leads process Analysis & improvements for various finance function for both business and system processes-
- Assist in monthly shareholder reporting analysis for reporting manager-
- Assists in the integration of newly acquired businesses in other finance functions & systems with the accounting managerReview the Importation/validation of sub system interfaces-
- Ensure the complete and accurate capture and processing of financial data of all banners-
- Review Bank reconciliations performed by the team-
- Review monthly journal entries (prepaids, accruals, fixed assets)-
- Ensures all financial data is posted to the GL (integrity of balances)-
- Review GST/QST returns filling completed by the team-
- Leader of all our insurance claims & coordinate with our insurance broker-
- Insurance renewal for our network-
- Overview statements received from government (Revenu Quebec, CRA) & Tax instalments-
- General ledger maintenance - fiscal period maintenance-
- Participate in the preparation of work files for the financial year end and the month-end-
- Generate ad hoc reports on demand-
- Perform procedural audits & other ad hoc work**EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED**- CPA designation preferable-
- 4-5 years of accounting experience or similar position-
- Bilingual - French and English spoken and written-
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office-
- Knowledge of Great Plains an asset or ERP system-
- Able to meet deadlines-
- Adaptability and flexibility - as company is growing strongly-
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with an attention to detail-
- Experience in the retail sector is an asset-
- Team player & ability to multi task-
- Autonomous and responsible-
- Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills-
- Ease working with financial systems-
- Acts as an Ambassador of Groupe Vision Newlook Inc. in their attitude and actions-
- Demonstrates organizational and time management skills
