**Role and Responsibility**:

- Full time site inspection of infrastructure renewal projects, from project commencement to final deficiency and end of warranty walkthroughs;
- Monitor and document daily construction site activities, discussions and quantities;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations;
- Prepare detailed daily inspection / progress reports and collect digital photo records of site works;
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications and inspect works to ensure compliance;
- Provide required support in the understanding and interpretation of the contract documents, specifications and all other administration related matters to the contract;
- Inspection of material, methods and construction processes of water and wastewater facilities, sewers, watermain and roadways;
- Review and verify Contractor’s payment requests and extra work orders;
- Coordinate sub-consultant inspections, reviews and quality assurance material testing;
- Coordinate Municipal staff periodic inspections and reviews;
- Aid in design and drafting of infrastructure renewal projects;
- Shop drawing review;
- Quantity takeoffs and cost estimation.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Education: College graduate of an accredited Civil Engineering Technology program;
- 0 - 10 years experience, with experience with any of the above listed tasks considered an asset;
- Knowledge of construction practices and methodology;
- Proficient with CAD software;
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficient with surveying equipment, including Total Station, GPS, and Level;
- Ability to work independently but willing to seek assistance when appropriate;
- Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills;
- Highly detail oriented;
- Commitment to improve on a professional and personal level;
- Valid driver’s license.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
