The Security Division of the Wescan Group of Companies (Cardac Systems Inc.) is seeking an experienced Lead Security Integration Technician to install, program, test, repair and service a variety of Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion and Intercom systems through-out Manitoba. Preference will be given to technicians having experience in Genetec, Kantech and AMAG control systems or any experience in the installation of these systems. We service operations from a single shop to very deeply integrated Multi-Facility, Multi Tenant Enterprise Security Management System, and we can support projects in the areas of design, implementation, and certification. Due to our partnerships with Wescan and a variety of other quality Manitoba companies, we can mobilize all the resources required for even the largest of projects, and we work in all locations across the province.
- Responsibilities _
- Reads blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation requirements; interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment.
- Executes technical aspects of a project, including installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair following established professional methods.
- Maintains high level of customer satisfaction, product performance, installation techniques and standards; meets project deadlines and budgets.
- Leads construction and service team, makes suggestions for product and installation improvements.
- Identifies and communicates risks; complies with all safety protocols and procedures.
- Participates in system start-up/check-out, commissioning, certification, and related customer training.
- Communicates effectively with office, field staff, and customers.
- Manages and maintains truck inventory of security products, allocates and re-stocks as necessary.
- Prepares service call reports upon completion of each call, and records customer sign-off.
- Completes daily/weekly time sheet.
- Maintains technical knowledge regarding the industry and respective field of expertise by attending external and internal training.
- Qualifications_
- Experience in the security industry, working with Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion and Intercom systems, with proven installation skills.
- Experience in AMAG, Genetec, Kantech, DSC systems.
- Class M electrical license (Class M-Alarm or Class M-Data).
- Training in AXIS, Samsung, Hikvision camera lines.
- Experience in Nurse Call an asset.
- Good understanding of networking and network structure.
- Ability to identify electrified door hardware required on doors.
- Valid class 5 driver's license with clean driving record.
- Clean criminal record (Canada-Wide).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team; initiative; good problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of building codes an asset.
- Industry related manufacturer and safety certifications would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with some or all of the following systems:
**Video Surveillance**:Mostly IP with some analog; installation, configuration and programming.

**Card Access**: Including controller, reader, relay and lock installation, interconnect and configuration. Software installation, configuration and programming an asset.

**Intrusion**:Wireless and hardwired, including panel, keypad and device installation, interconnect and configuration. Panel programming, both manually and via software.

**Intercom**: Analog and IP, including installation, interconnect and setup of systems

Pay: $40,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
