**About Inquiring Little Minds**:
Inquiring Little Minds has been providing childcare services in British Columbia for the past 12 years, since 2011. We are hoping to expand, by opening more centres in other parts of our community and province. ILM facilities are dedicated to the provision of safe, well-managed childcare services for children that are provided by full and part-time, qualified staff. **About the job**:
We are looking for an **Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA-certified)** to complete our team at our **Eagle View location (** **Eagle View Elementary School Grounds)**. **Key responsibilities**:

- Comply with all Early Childhood Registry Requirements for renewal or issuance of their Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate.
- Have a working knowledge of Licensing regulations.
- Work cooperatively, respectively.
- Work with children, parents, staff, and volunteers on an individual and group basis.
- Have a clear understanding of best practices relating to the development and care of children.
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members.
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor.
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.

**Qualifications**:

- A valid ECEA Certificate
- A valid First Aid Certificate (or wiliness to obtain it)
- Required to complete a Criminal Record Check

Pay: $19.38 per hour

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- ECEA Certificate in British Columbia (required)
