We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Substitute ECEA to join our team and support our 8 licensed child care centres across Greater Victoria. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a variety of settings and learn from a diverse team of passionate early childhood educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage for staff absences across multiple locations (may include same-day movement between centres in the case of emergencies or illness).
  • Support classroom routines, activities, and transitions for children aged 0–5 years.
  • Foster a caring, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with educators and follow centre philosophies and routines.
  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for children, families, and staff.

Requirements:

  • Current ECEA Certificate (Early Childhood Education Assistant).
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for use during your shift.
  • Ability to travel between locations within Greater Victoria as needed.
  • Current first aid certification and clear criminal record check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.25-$21.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 42.5 per week
