**About us**

Lord’s Grace Church (LGC) is a non-denominational evangelical Christ-centred community that started in 1981 as an ethnic Chinese church with lay ministry. We have grown into three congregations with Cantonese, English, and Mandarin services. The English congregation of about 60 people, emphasizes worship, prayer, education and fellowship. We are committed to loving God and serving one another and our neighbours at Kitsilano.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

The English Pastor is to provide spiritual vision, leadership, and oversight to the English congregation in partnership with the lay leaders and pastors from the other congregations.

The English Pastor is responsible for performing regular pastoral duties, as well as leading the English Ministry Team of lay leaders and volunteers. The English Pastor is accountable to the Deacons Board.

**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**
- Master of Christian Studies or Master of Divinity degree
- Previous pastoral ministry experiences, preferably within a multi-generational, multi-language and multi-congregational setting
- Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Abilities in Mandarin and Cantonese would be strong assets
- A purposeful planner to expand God’s kingdom in creating and developing programs, mobilising the congregation and equipping lay leaders and volunteers
- Experience with ethnic second-generation culture is beneficial
- Effective conflict resolution and interpersonal skills

- Team player in serving together within the pastoral team and ministry teams
- Takes initiative and is proactive in leading congregants

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16,380.00-$24,960.00 per year
