**About Pacific Reach**:
**Summary of Position**:
The General Counsel will work closely with the senior executive team. The General Counsel, managing 2 other in-house lawyers, will act as the company’s primary advisor of all legal matters while mitigating risk, reducing reliance on external counsel and advancing the business interests of the company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Litigation: responsible for all aspects of litigation including dispute resolution and tribunal related matters in the multiple jurisdictions the company does business
- Corporate/Commercial: provide advice and draft various corporate and commercial documents
- Contracts: negotiate and draft a broad array of standard contracts and agreements including leases, services, development, construction, and management agreements
- Acquisitions and Divestitures: negotiate and draft purchase and sale agreements, perform due diligence and closing of transactionsManage outside counsel on a variety of matters.

**Requirements**:
1. Have experience with complex litigation in all levels of BC Courts, and dispute resolution.

2. Experience with residential tenancy, employment, and human rights litigation matters.

3. Commercial/corporate solicitor experience, preferably in the real estate sector.

4. Ideally, experience with commercial legal work and litigation in California and/or Arizona.

5. Membership in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.

6. Excellent communication skills - written, oral, and interpersonal.

7. Excellent judgement, drafting and analytical skills, and attention to detail

8. Enthusiasm, problem solving and strong business acumen is an asset

9. Experience working with and supporting senior and executive level staff.

10. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deal with confidential and sensitive issues.
