Job Description - Construction Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in internal and project start-up meetings with owners, consultants, superintendents, and administrative staff.
- Monitor project budgets, trade values, and overall financial performance.
- Lead tendering processes with subcontractors and suppliers, including preparing scopes of work and cost analyses for senior management and owner approval.
- Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the financial controller and senior management.
- Collaborate with project teams to forecast labour, equipment, and scheduling requirements at least one week in advance.
- Maintain an on-site office presence to ensure projects progress on schedule and comply with drawings, specifications, and contractual obligations.
- Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen changes or challenges during construction.
- Manage project issues, including Health & Safety compliance and conflict resolution among trades and site personnel.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with all stakeholders, including owners, consultants, architects, inspectors, and senior management.
- Strengthen existing business relationships and establish new ones within the construction community.

Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in construction in a management or supervisory capacity.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (Technical Diploma, C.E.T., B.Eng., P.Eng.) preferred.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related project management software.
- Strong aptitude for reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Demonstrated experience managing concurrent projects valued over $1 million.
- Additional Health & Safety certifications are considered an asset.
