TYPE: Full Time Salary | This position requires to fly in / fly out, working autonomously for 3 consecutive weeks before returning home for 3 weeks. Housing is provided during the 3 weeks working in Iqaluit.

**Position Overview**:
The Site Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the overall site safety and performance including the cost-effective use of facilities, equipment, labour and assets assigned to the site. The Site Supervisor also is responsible for the health, safety and productivity of employees under his/her direction. The Site Supervisor is further responsible for supporting the company goals and objectives and promoting the business interests of the company by conducting him or herself in a professional manner while maintaining excellent customer service and good public relations.
- **This position requires travel to our Iqaluit (YFB) location working three weeks on and three weeks off. The Site Supervisor _must be_ comfortable working autonomously**_

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)**:

- Ensure that Inland is compliant with all government labour, health and safety laws regulations and policies
- Managing all aspects of the facility in a manner which preserves the overall health, safety and security of employees and company assets
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Operate the facility at all times as required during the active work period; **(3 weeks on, 3 weeks off)**:

- Ensure all reporting, record keeping and communications are complete, accurate and timely as per company policies
- Develop, maintain and ensure that employees follow Stand Operating Procedures (SOPS) and that Inland Operations are compliant with environmental laws, guidelines and reporting
- Develop local emergency plans and training requirements to handle evacuations, first response procedures and potential environmentally hazardous situations
- Perform Glycol Recovery Vehicle Operations as required
- Assist in training of relevant 3rd parties in Glycol Recovery vehicle operations as required
- Ensuring all recovery equipment assigned to the station is properly protected and maintained by following SOPs for equipment servicing and developing a local maintenance program
- Develop and maintain an effective fluid management program that addresses the key aspects of fluid handling including storage tanks and facilities, loading and unloading procedures, transfers, capacity issues, contingencies and third parties' protocols (as applicable)

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Ability to perform at a high level in a remote work place for an extended period of time with mínimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to effectively manage employees and interact with people
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- The ability to understand and demonstrate safety in the workplace
- Mechanical, processing, and airfield knowledge
- Possess good working knowledge of basic computer programs (word, power point, excel etc.
- Ability to read and write clear and comprehensive instructions, correspondence, bulletins and memos
- Ability to effectively present information to management in relation to the operation and staff
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance manuals and operating procedures
- Basic math skills are essential
- Hold and maintain a valid driver's license is required for this position and driving record that meets company insurance standards
- Hold and maintain a Restricted Area Identify Card (RAIC)
- Hold and maintain a Valid Airside Vehicle Operators permit (AVOP) and an Industry Canada Radio License
- Prolonged periods of standing and working outside with exposure to prevalent weather

**Physical Demands**:

- ** Indoor** - office environment with potential for remaining seated extended periods of time, using a computer, keyboard, and mouse
- ** Warehouse**:

- physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment
- ** Outdoor** - prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles
