**Harrison Hot Springs Resort** is currently recruiting for the position of **Lakeside Café Host**.

Overlooking Harrison Lake, the Harrison Hot Springs Resort offers the following amenities: five mineral hot springs pools, the Healing Springs Spa, three restaurants and a coffee bar, extensive banquet and catering options, Resort Golf Course and Resort Marina.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensures compliance with all corporate policies and procedures to ensure guest satisfaction
- Able to exceed guests’ needs by coordinating the service flow appropriate to a high caliber dining experience in a high paced environment
- Must be able to supervise and motivate associates
- Responsible for the overall appearance an cleanliness for both the physical facility and the Associates
- Able to attend to work reliably
- Able to work safely and securely in a manner that protects the integrity and safety of the guest, associates and hotel
**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum 2 years of high volume, high turnover service experience required, preferably in a fast paced restaurant environment
- ‘Serving It Right’ Certificate required
- ‘Food Safe’, Level One required
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and take direction well
- Previous experience as a team player and leader
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Experience in taking restaurant reservations and excellent telephone skills
- Ability to problem solve any guest or associate issues or concerns
- Ability to turn a challenging situation into an opportunity and positive experience
- Experience with computerized POS system preferred
- Previous experience in suggestive selling and up-selling techniques preferred
- Proven ability to quickly and accurately handle and balance cash, credit and debit card sales
- Being multi-lingual is an asset, preferably Mandarin
- Flexible to a changing schedule
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $18.26-$20.87 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Harrison Hot Springs, BC V0M 1K0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Canadian work permit (preferred)
