**Account Manager, Construction Finance**

CMLS Financial is looking for a Construction Finance Account Manager to join our growing Construction Finance Group. The Account Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of loans. They will coordinate approvals through to fundings by liaising with the origination team, program team, investors and other internal groups. Specific activities will include underwriting, obtaining investor approval, loan advance support and monitoring throughout the construction period.

**About the Role**:

- Actively manage and underwrite construction lending opportunities
- Act as the primary contact/ liaison between the investor’s underwriting team and originators (or borrowers, as the case may be)
- Prepare credit submissions for recommendation to CMHC and/or the investor, as well as documentation to meet all the conditions precedent required to fund
- Prepare on-going construction loan draws, cross-referencing budgets, and ensuring applicable undertakings are satisfied per the loan Commitment Letter
- Other duties as assigned including portfolio management, pipeline management and providing guidance on process, procedure and credit issues to originators.

**This role is for you if you have**:

- You have completed an undergraduate degree in one of the following concentrations: business administration, accounting, finance, or real estate.
- A passion for real estate and at least 3-5 years of experience in construction finance and/or commercial credit;
- Previous experience dealing directly with borrowers/developers is an asset
- Possess strong interpersonal relationship building, negotiation, conflict management and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team within a fast paced, deadline driven environment;
- Ability to take ownership of your work and demonstrate a high degree of accountability and commitment at all times;
- Very results-driven and possess strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail;
