We are a 164 room hotel and conference centre located in Canmore, AB.

We are seeking a hands on and experienced Rooms Division Manager to oversee the day to day operation in both Front Office and Housekeeping.

You need to have excellent attention to detail, be a superstar multitasker along with troubleshooting and anticipating any Front Desk / Housekeeping operational and guest challenges.

Your communication skills need to be on point and be able openly communicate between departments and leadership team.

Duties include;
- Ensure Housekeeping and Front Desk are working together as one cohesive team.
- Managing, supporting Front Desk and Housekeeping Managers and their teams.
Overseeing communication and deliverables within Rooms Division, including there is departmental plan and measurable objectives for the Rooms Division that supports the Company’s overall strategy, i.e., guest satisfaction scores, room occupancy and revenue optimization targets.
- Communicates goals to others, including team members, other leaders etc.
- Manages and oversees the work of others within rooms division including ongoing management responsibilities such as delegating workflow, motivating, and providing guidance to team members, communication goals and following up on specific internal/external inquiries for Rooms Division
- Effectively manages performance of Rooms Division team using the performance management process, providing regular positive and constructive feedback to support high performance.
- Builds a strong team with capabilities to deliver on the business plan through effective recruitment, communication and team practices.
- Creates an environment that is motivating and engaging.
- Resolves guest service issues, and identifies potential barriers to guest services, works with others to remove barriers to service excellence.
- Ensures staffing and service levels
- Ensuring Rooms Division is operating and adhering to budgeted expenses and labor -reviewing discrepancies with General Manager/ Controller
- Ensuring rooms remain in a sellable and presentation state. Scheduling/ working with Maintenance department to prioritize rooms and repairs.
- Lives the Coast values and fosters a positive image of the Coast in the community.
- Other duties and projects as required.

Experience
- Mandatory Housekeeping & Front Desk experience in a leadership role
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to enhance the service standards throughout the operation
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
- Organized with time management skills
- A team player, flexible and self-starter who can work independently.

This is a full time year round Department Head role. Benefits after 3 months of employment, with matching RRSP's of 3% of annual salary. Subsidized staff housing available.
