**Opportunity**:
IAD Capital, a privately-owned commercial real estate company, is seeking a Building Maintenance Handyman/woman to join our team. In this role you will work independently and be responsible for carrying out various tasks related to the upkeep and maintenance of a diversified portfolio of commercial buildings. **Responsibilities**:

- Troubleshoots, lays out, assembles, installs, maintains and repairs various facets of a facility though multiple disciplines
- Skilled in painting both interior and exterior spaces
- Ability to complete exterior repair work including concrete, block and masonry repairs
- Ability to complete framing with metal and wood studs
- Completes general carpentry both rough and finish
- Competent in completing drywall, mud and tape installation
- Complete minor flooring repair and installation
- Working knowledge of door and window installation and repair
- Strong ability to work with hand tools and power equipment
- Familiar with general construction and maintenance materials
- Capable to meet, review and discuss projects with customers
- Ability to identifying the need for repairs, responding to clients’ maintenance requests
- Respond to emergency calls on a 24-hour basis for a group of commercial buildings
- All other repair and maintenance duties as assigned

**Requirements / Qualifications**:

- 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Willingness to work off of a ladder, scaffold or elevated work platform at various heights
- Extensive knowledge and experience operating HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical, BAS, and Life Safety Systems
- Skills in blueprint reading, as applied to technical areas
- Self motivated, professional and flexible; able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Detail oriented; able to resolve problems using facts and sound reasoning
- Must be able to lift 50lb
- Friendly and courteous with professional image
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Able to deal with customers and clients in a respectful manner
- Strong work ethic with an attention to detail
- Reliable and flexible
- Able to take direction and work well with others
- Able to meet the physical demands of this job
- Firm understanding of job safety
- Experience with excel an asset
- Access to own tools is an asset
- Access to own vehicle is required and a clean driving record is required

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
