Our stores go above and beyond a typical grocery store by offering an extensive rotating selection of ready to eat gourmet meals, freshly baked goodies, and curated hard to find groceries.

Ice cream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream Summerhill Market is looking to make our own in-house ice cream We are hiring a professional, experienced, Ice Cream Maker to lead the ice cream production.

Open to full-time and part-time applicants with morning and evening shifts available.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Ice Cream Maker to join our team. As an Ice Cream Maker, you will be responsible for creating delicious and high-quality ice cream treats for our customers. If you have a passion for cooking, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have a love for ice cream, this is the perfect opportunity for you
- Prepare and produce a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings
- Operate ice cream machines and equipment
- Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Package ice cream products for our retail locations

**Skillset requirements**:

- Possess a creative take on developing new and exciting flavours
- Ability to work well with others and be part of a team
- Proper rotation of ingredients and inventory
- Ability to use scales to weigh foods and proper operation of equipment
- Assist as required with packaging and pricing
- Expert knowledge of products, preparation, and safe handling
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds or less
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Entry level positions in the Bakery Team begin at $16.55 per hour and will increase based on food/kitchen experience.
