**Job Overview**

**Duties**:

- Supervise and engage with children in various activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Following all regulations under the Child Care Act and St. John's policies
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide nurturing care, including feeding, diapering, and assisting with personal hygiene as needed.
- Create a positive atmosphere that encourages social interaction and emotional growth among children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare environment, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop programs that enhance the children's learning experience.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is required
- A background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable.

Registered with the College of ECE
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and caregiving practices is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, creativity, and enthusiasm while working with young learners.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
